With POTENTIALS OÖ, something unused, not yet established, is emerging. Something that has the power to become trend-setting. The main idea is to present the greatest artistic potential of the entire Austrian province of Upper Austria together for the first time. Specifically, those of the Upper Austrian art associations, which co-organize, supervise and implement this fair themselves. The focus is on those exhibiting artists who have not yet arrived on the international art market, but have the potential to help shape it in the coming years.
The Capital of Culture year 2024 was the premiere for the first edition – and at the same time the prelude. In the future, POTENTIALS OÖ will take place every two years and thus forms a fixed point of the local art scene.
The venue was the Toscana Congress Centre in Gmunden am Traunsee from the 30th of August till the 1st of September 2024
Das Kulturhauptstadtjahr 2024 war die Premiere für die erste Austragung – und zugleich Auftakt. Künftig wird POTENTIALS OÖ alle zwei Jahre stattfinden und bildet somit einen Fixpunkt der heimischen Kunstszene.
